Conditional sentences

     These people do not know there is a snake in the tree. If they knew, they 

   would probably start screaming and the man would drop his sandwich. If

   the man had a gun, he could shoot the snake.

QUESTIONS :

1.      Why don’t the people get up and run now ?

2.      What would they all do if they knew  ?

3.      Ask and answer the same type of question about

b.      The woman

                                  4.      Why can’t the man shoot the snake ?

                                  5.      Now make a sentence: if/a gun/shoot.
